Back To College / School Everyday Drugstore Makeup

As you probably already know, since I've talked about it non stop for weeks... I went back to college! I thought I would share my everyday makeup look, because I quite enjoy reading these kinds of posts myself. They can be quite handy and help you find new products to try! In this post, every single product is from the drugstore -  in my case, either Boots or Superdrug. The lighting does tend to change in these photos because of the pesky sun too!

As usual I start with my naked face, already cleansed and moisturised, so you can see what oily, blemished base I have to work with.

For the base of my skin, I'm keeping it simple. I'm priming my skin with the Collection Prime & Ready Mattifying Pore Minimiser. I recently found this product and I'm loving it. It has a similar, silicone texture to the Benefit Poreffessional, and contains witch-hazel to help with blemishes. Instead of going for a foundation, I tend to wear lighter makeup for every day use. I opted for the Rimmel BB Cream in the Matte formula for my oily skin. It's lightweight, with light to medium coverage which is build-able. I of course, go for my trusty Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer for under my eyes, and to get rid of any redness coming through, and then finish off with the Rimmel Clear Complexion Powder to set it.

Moving on to the rest of my face, I like to keep it easy by using a single product, so I just have to mess around too much on a morning. These Rimmel Kate Face Palettes are perfect for that, and small enough to take in your bag too. This is in the shade 002 Coral Glow. I use the brown shade to contour the hollows of my cheeks, and lightly dust around my forehead, jaw bone and down my nose. I use the beautiful coral blusher on the apples of my cheeks and take the highlighter on my cheekbones and brow-bone, and slightly on my cupids bow. My choice of eyebrows for every day use is the Sleek Eyebrow Stylist in Medium, because it's so easy to use and just glides on.

For my eyes, I'm using a palette I haven't used much over the summer. But the Barry M Natural Glow 2 great for creating an everyday makeup look, using the 3 shades marked in the photo. The darkest shade I blended into my crease, and the shimmer shade I used all over my lid. I used the lightest shade to highlight my inner corner. It's so simple and so subtle. I used my trusted Maybelline Lash Sensational Luscious Oil Blend and topped off my whole look with a cute No7 Lipgloss to have a nice, natural finish. I would have happily used a nude or pink matte lip as well, but I felt like going a little 90s with this gloss.

It's such a simple, and cheap makeup look, that anyone can do. So if you're going back to college or school like me, you should definitely give it a go!

I also made a video on this if you'd like to see exactly how it was done.
